Ok well my original plan was to get a 88mm (426) high compression piston 11:1 with a hotcam stage 2..... but then one of my friends said that a 426 would also be unreliable.... he said that the cylinder wall would be soo thin that i would have heating problems and make it very easy to suck the sleeve.... So then now my new plan is a 416 kit with the hotcam stage 2 but does anybody know what size piston a 416 is? And if the above is true... Please help

the 416 kit is a 87mm piston
the 426 kit is a 88mm piston

I think that your motor will heat a little because your sleeve will be at the last oversize then the cylinder wall will be thin

If you want a 426 I think that you will be better with a bigger sleeve

Your bud is wrong. If you resleeve, you won't be anywhere near having the cylinder wall paper thin...With the 440, your getting there though.

426=more power then 440 or 416. More power then 440 because it revs faster and creates less heat. The same thing doesn't apply to the 416 tho. Even tho the 426 piston weighs more then the 416 piston and doesn't rev as fast, the bore size makes up for it. The 426 will create more heat then the 416 yes, but it will also be a lot faster then it. Just run a good synthetic or semi-synthetic oil (I.E. Klotz MX-4 15w50 Fully Synthetic, Bel Ray Thumper 20w50 Semi-Synthetic, etc.) and you'll be fine.

I'd go with a resleeve, 11:1 426, hotcam stage 2 (now called stage 3...the new stage 2 isn't available to pubic yet), and a nice port and polish and you'd be good.
