I'm hoping to be getting a new 88 250R soon. I'm really excited about it! The only engine mods I believe are FMF Pipe and silencer. So, what I was thinking about is, what next? What mods do you guys suggest? The main goal is to smoke the Banshee in the sig.

To beat that shee in a drag race, youd probaly be looking at a minimum of a 330 kit and a different pipe.Nice R btw.

That is a very nice R, Someone has to say it some time, that quad would be much better suited to restore it to original condition. It wouldn't take much to do that ether, powdercoat the frame, take off the grafics, and find a couple stock parts to replace the aftermarket parts on there. You do that and you would have something that is much rarer, and, and worth more than a 330.

To beat the shee is by keeping the rpm's in the HP range while the shee overshoots its powerband and looses HP.

Its called riding the pipe.... look it up, WOT is not always what wins a drag race.

Its the rider, i've seen numerous times the smaller less powerfull engine behind only to catch up last minute and win.

But ya, get the 330 kit if you like.. handling of the 250R will already give you an edge.

Thanks for the input guys =) Yeah, IDK if I would restore it or not... But it is basically mine now. All I need to arrange is driving :D What I'd like to know now is, what does everybody else think of it :D
