Well I just lost my clutch again last weekend. This is the second time this year. The first one I put in a barnett and it went pretty quick because the basket and hub were notched up bad. When that went I put in a new billet basket, new OEM inner hub and OEM plates and took out the judder spring. After three races it burnt up again! The inner hub had some notches. Plates look really good. Why are they not lasting?? I am hard on the clutch but I don't want to change it every other race. Any suggestions?

What are you riding it like a 2 stoke. I am hard on my clutch but it is still the stock one in there!

replace your stock springs with '04 crf springs.

I have barnett heavy duty ones in there. What is the benefit of crf springs?

Is it possible that removing the judder spring is a bad idea??

Im not trying to offend your mechaincal ability or anything, but is it possible that the clutch lever wasn't adjusted properly??? If there wasn't enough slack you could have easily fried a clutch in no time at all.

when you take the judder springs out put a full fiber plate in and check on that adjustment !

Yes a full fiber plate was put in. With the clutch problems I've had, I am always checking the adjustment.

naaa, the 530r has had the judder and seat removed for quite some time now with no issue thus far. ready, the purpose of the judder and seat is to provide a smoother clutch feel on bottom end just off idle. since the stock 450r lacks bottom end grunt, honda may have felt it was necessary to install judder because most riders would need to "fan" a bit more.
