I am looking for a 28 tooth sprocket for the rear of our Kasea Skyhawk.

Where is everyone getting them?

I have installed the 70cc kit with a pipe and now the stock 35 tooth won't let the quad rip...it tops out way to quick!

Hetrick Racing - they can get any sprocket made to order. That one might be common enough that they have it in stock.

Rebel gears. They WILL rip you off if you deal direct with them. I found out the hard way. Paid 21 bucks for a 14 dollar sprocket.
Ask them for a local dealer and get a better deal like I do now.;)

Does anyone know of a name brand sprocket company that makes them?

I have a friend at a dealership that could get me them at a discount if I knew who made them.

The prices I've seen are more than I pay for a fullsize bike's!

They are more in most cases.

Hi Mascman
First off, I'm new on this forum. Anyway, I'm a Rebel Gears distributor and I'd like to offer up a couple of solutions.
IF your old sprockets and chain are in good shape, I suggest in the following order.

1) 19 tooth front $22.95 shipped to you. It's like taking 4 teeth off the back sprocket and depending on chain adjustment, you may sqeeze it under your existing chain, saving you some money. Also, the larger front sprocket helps get the chain off the swing-arm cross member, cool huh?

2) 28 tooth rear $39.95 shipped.

3) IF your old chain and gears are ugly, I'll ship you 19 tooth front (1 up) with a 28-32 tooth rear and an RK racing chain and master link for $85 shipped to the lower 48.

anyway, let me know if I can do anything for you, Ride safe, Ed.

Hey qwadfather, I have seen you on other forums!

Also, I was thinking the same thing about the front sprocket. Basically because I knew they were cheaper! I haven't talked to my buddy at the dealership yet...he has signed on to handle other products for us, so he may do the Rebel Gears too.

I am thinking of possibly a 20 tooth in front, but I'm not sure....what do you think?

Right now I've got 18/35 sprockets with the 16.5" Snowhogs. Eventually I'd like to put on the 18", but I'm in no big hurry.

She is just a basic trail rider so maybe a 19 to keep more of the torque? Like stated before, I have the modded 70cc kit and a KOSO pipe, which feels like it can pull to the moon, so maybe I should gear it to take advantage of the revs?

The sprockets are in great shape. She hasn't ridden it much...I have never needed to tighten the chain yet from the factory!

So whaddya think 19 or 20 front?
Do you take PAYPAL?

Thanks again for the offer...I may be taking you up on it!

Mascman, I suggest that you go to a 19. That will keep up the torque and you should be able to use your old chain just fine. You can gear taller by going to 18" tires. I do recommend this for trails anyway. I think this set-up will be good for that. Oh yeah, Dad...Did you consider a little suspension or at least widening to compensate for all this speed you are giving her? A good suspension is important on trails as well as track. Safety and more comfortable ride=longer ride times.
Paypal if fine, BTW, whenever your ready. That address is qwadwheeler@yahoo.com, which is my normal e-mail, too.
Drop a line and in the meantime...Ride safe, Ed.

BTW, Mascman, Do you hit the tracks around El Paso? (Ft Hancock, Tularosa, Socorro) I swear I see a logo on a trailer similar to your handle here. Just curious. If so, you probably seen the Lucky 7 wagon too. c ya, Ed.

It wasn't me at any of those tracks...I'm in PA.

I do have offset wheels on her quad. It's low and wide enough right now. I may do something with the front end later on. We have 3 acres plus a couple of our neighbors share their property...she's happy riding there right now.

She doesn't race...she's more into her Cheerleading right now. Whatever makes her happy!

OK Mascman. I could swear that there's a trailer with your name on it but that would be a heck of a drive for you, LOL!
Although you would be welcome down here anytime. Let me know if I can ever help. Ride safe, Ed.

You will be getting an Email from Paypal.

Thanks for your help.

How long for it to get to PA?

Mike, I apologise to you. I only got to my e-mail account a few minutes ago. Too late to order today. I will order in the morning and have them drop ship to you in PA. Hopefully they will stick it in priority mail for me so you can have it ASAP. We honor your confidence and support and appreciate your patronage. Ride safe, Ed and crew.:)
