is 280 a reasonable price for a dealership to install a cam if not what is a reasonable price thanks

I hope there not charging 280 just for labor:eek:
I would say if you can't do it yourself don't pay more than 50 bucks for labor.

$280 is way too much. My stealership wants $150 to change valves and I asked them when they change the valves can they put my new cam in for free while they are at it and they said they would.

nothings wrong with my honda. Just figured it's time to get the valves checked out b/c it's seen alot of riding lately. They said $75 to check clearances and another $79 to adjust them. I asked them if they could put a HRC cam in there if I purchased it elsewhere and they said they would do it for free while they were already in there adjusting valves

They shouldn't be charging anymore than 1 hour or around 50 bucks to check and shim the valves if needed. If they said 75 just to check them I would tell them to kiss my @ss

my dealer is charging me $400 to get my piston and hot cams installed i was like wtf :eek2: too much
