I am in the middle of a rebuild on a 02 400EX, I am putting in a Cam and a High Comp piston, should I change the valves while I am in there. I am getting a port/polish done.

I need help taking the valve springs, any suggestions? I bought a valve spring compressor from the local auto parts store but it did not work. Thanks!

Sorry bud, can't help with removing the valve springs.

As far as replacing the valves, as long as they aren't bent (which they shouldnt be), You could probably get away with just cleaning them up. Probably doesn't even need that.

Do I need to adjust the valves since I am putting a Stage II Hotcam in and a JE 10.5 piston in?

The adjustments should come with your camshaft.

allen wrenches,.004 .005 feeler gauges 10mm wrench.

if you havent pulled your motor apart yet i would play around with the stock ones.

I will keep you posted, the head is going to the shop tomorrow, will be out for about a week and half for all the goodies.
