which is a better over all cam, the stage 1 or the new stage 2? i like to have low end power but does the stage 1 take away from top end? also where does the new stage increase, bottom to mid, mid-top, or evenly throught. thanks

with the stage 1 you dont lose any bottom end, or topend. you will feel the power mid range and up. i think the new stage 2 would be good for a motor with some good work done to it like porting and polishing and a bigger piston.

i will have it be ported and polished, and adding a 87mm piston. i am torn between the 2 hotcams. i would rather have a cam that delivers throught than mostly bottom, or mostly top. if stage 2 does this please let me know because i will be buying all my parts very soon. i have heard that the stage 1 is very good for low end to mid. which cam is best for fast trail riding and some tracks. thanks

i love the power the stage 1 produces... its great for tight woods and pits
If you put a stage 2 with a high compression piston, you shouldn't notice any loss of power down low. Just pretty big gains mid to top.

The stage 2 works better with high compression and bigger bore motors with port work. It is a great cam for mx.

i am going to be putting in a je 10:1 comp piston. so i was mostly considering a stage1 but wanted to just get everyones opinions first.

I wouldn't do anything MORE than a stage 1 with just a 10:1 piston. JMO

Would a stage II keep low end power with a 11:1 piston and port and polished cylinder head?
