View Full Version : Need Help with serious AIM Problem

when i send a message on AIM to anyone it will pause when i push send for about 6 secs and then send the message,does anyone know what i can do to stop this problem and get it fixed.ive been dealing with it for about 11 months and im geting fed up with it and anthor thing when i direct connect with some1 to share a file or send pics or anything it seems like the problem goes away but then gos back to the problem after we close out.I really need help and would appreciate any info or help and CHUCKED has been helping me out with it alot and i appreciate that.

what are the specs on your computer? do you have any spyware that might be slowing it down?

if its not your computer that is the problem, trry uninstalling AIM and downloading a different version.

ive downloaded the lastest verison and uninstalled it about 3 times already and the only spyware i have is Notons Anti Virus

Norton is anti virus. Get ad-aware from Lavasoft. That will get rid of any unwanted adware. www.lavasoft.com Ad-aware Se.

i need help with the aim problem,im more worried about this geting fixed soo so now i need help with the aim situition

Yeah, if you got rid of the adware, then it may be faster

another reason it does it is because your connection might be having heavy traffic.. aim waits to send the message until all the packets have been processed... mine does it everyso often.. and thats the reason

i'm sorry but its strictly because your computer is a slow pos lol but its true, your internet connection if it isn't a cable/dsl it will do it, sometimes we do it too, just when the connection isn't strong, 56k will do it all the time
