If you want your motor to run its best and last as long as it can, oil changing is the key. Yes, it does get quite expensive, but hey!, its better then rebuilding your motor every 6 months ain't it?

well i guess it all depends on how much you ride,i ride 4 times a week so changing every other ride would cost 36 bucks a week, for six months of riding would be approx. 900 bucks i can rebuild mine cheaper than that,i was just curious if this should be done or if its only for like motocrossers because until i joined this sight i had never heard that before.:D

Don't change it every other ride then! Most people that ride very hard that I know don't change it every other ride. Change it like every 5 good long rides, and running a good synthetic oil (like Mobil 1 Red Cap, or Klotz haha) will last longer and keep your bike running even longer. With standard base stuff, it will turn black a lot quicker. Synthetic, you could probably go 10 good rides without an oil change before it would even start to change a color.
