I have MANY very small holes in my tire and it causes it to lose enough air that I have to air it up about every hour. the holes are so small it's rediculous and I don't wanna waste a lot of plugs on it. so what's better slime or fix a flat?is there any other brands that work better then either of these?

slime is great, but I have been told that the slime eats at the inside of your tires..

slime for sure, i never did like the fact of fix-a-flat in your tire because of all the different gases in it that make that stuff come out of the can.

id suggest slime out of those choices. however, when you go to change tires, it will be very messy either way lol. the slime is thicker and i have had better luck with that in tires. You could also put a tube in the tire too if you want to.

eats away at tires eh? does anyone know the rate at which it does so? what do you guys mean by eating away at tires? it can't be that bad or you'd think the dot would outlaw it in passenger cars.

It doesnt eat them at a fast rate... But once you do put either in a passenger tire, when you break them down they cannot be patched if there is a holw in them due to the break down of rubber inside the tire.. at this point a plug is all that can help them and at the shop where I am we only patch not plug. So to answer your question not fast enough to worry about as long as you are not going to try to patch it...

oh ok. I'm not too worried then. I've never patched a tubeless tire anyways, I've always plugged. thanks for the info

I'm gonna go against what everyone here has said. I have never had any luck at all with slime. Fix-a-Flat however, always works good for me.

I put slime in almost all of my tires has soon as I mount them. It is a mess when you need to break them down again, but I think it is worth it. I didn't ever get a flat in 2 sets of RAZRs. On the third set I forgot the slime and had a flat within a few weeks.
