hard pulling on clutch lever

i just bought my 99 400ex and the clutch lever is really hard to pull back when i am shifting. is there adjustments . thanks

There are adjustments, but they only adjust the amount of play....not the actual hardness of the pull. I would go down to your local dealer, pick up a cable cleaner tool & spray cleaner....I bet this is your problem....

yeap that was the problem with mine too!! get a cable luber and it should help,,,check your cable for holes too,,,mine had set up against the header and burnt a hole in it and mud got in there !!!
