It's called auctionsniper my friend. I was looking at a 2001 400ex, asked the seller what the reserve was, never got a responce and it sold for $2025.(My max I would have spent was $3k):mad:

lol i snipe people on ebay all the time, if you going to bid on something then you should expect snipers.

if you bid on something put the highest amount you will pay...dont lowball and if you do, then that is what you get. He got one hell of a deal.

Yea that is the only way to use ebay, bid the highest you will go at the last posible chance.

Even if you are winning an auction, if you are willing to pay more, you can up your bid without actually paying more. People that try to steal auctions at the last second always bid in increments trying to just outbid the current high bidder, as long as you are higher it will just keep bumping your winning bid up to what they have just bid. You also have to remember that sometimes people will bid on their own item using one of their friends\families id's at the last second to avoid selling for too cheap, but still have a "no reserve" auction.
