Im looking into getting a 250r but my parents dont understand why I want to buy and go down to a late 80's quad.one im looking at are ready to race but I dont race.I just want apowerful machine that will have enough to climb hills and smoke my friends.But they say they are too fast but i been on quads since ive been little and got a 600cc sled when i was 12.How do explain to my parents that a late 80's quad is very good and worth the price.

They are a honda, it's that simple, haha. BUt the 250r's have dominated racing for 15 years, they have proven the test of time. The only reson they aren't racing anymore is that because of rules the pros have to run quads made within the last 5 years or something like that. I bet that if pros could still run 250r's that they would still win.

The 250r's have one of if not the best geometry of any quad ever made, even the new ones. There is so many aftermarket parts that are avalible for them. And they just look sick, IMO they are the best looking quad ever made.:macho

Can't go wrong with the 250R i ve owned 6 of them thru the yrs. IMO the 88-89 are the Best and the 86 has the best frame
