I just put a white brothers e-series slip on on my 300ex and there is a little bit of air comming out where the header attaches to the pipe. I used the sealent and the clamp. I this supposed to happen.

no what kind of sealant did you use

Pull it off and do it again.
Make sure to clean the mating surfaces really good. Then reapply the sealant and slowly put it back together!

ask your local dealer/parts place if they have a proper gasket for your header pipe and silencer., factory header pipe gaskets work for some silencer's
