View Full Version : Adjusting rebound on Axis shocks

Here is an odd question for those who have Axis shocks. The rebound damping is controlled by a blue ring (see the picture below) at the bottom of the shock... as most directions state to turn in or out to adjust the rebound, my question is: which way is in and which is out? if you look from the top of the shock down its one way... but if you look from the bottom of the shock up its the other way. The only reason I ask is that I stand my quad up on its tail alot to do shock adjustments to the rear shock and it occured to me that it would make a difference how I looked at the shock on which way to turn it. Why couldn't they just put a knob on it like the compression!

If you are sitting on your bike looking down over the top of your shock turning it clockwise will open the needle valve and allow for a faster rebound and counter clockwise will start closing the circut off and cause a slower rebound. just remember to turn both the shocks the same amount.
