hey what can i do to get more powerso i can be more competitive on my 400ex in motocross. it has FMF titanium four pipe, jet kit, k&n air filter, renthal bars, and different sprockets. I was thinkin about a big bore kit either 440 or 500, cant find a 500 thanks for input.

easy upgrade that would be good to start off with is a cam. about the 440 kit, i guess its weather or not you wanna take the chance of maybe having headgasket problems, and u should get HD studs... a 416 kit or even 426 might be better and more reliable than a 440, call up C&D racing, they will help u out

I had the same mods. I ended up going with a standard bore wiseco 11:1 piston, a hotcam stage 1, and a uni filter, and it really woke the ol' fo-hunded up! I was very impressed. It still wont outrun a 450 but its a lot closer now. Nice cheap mods.:cool:

get a 406 or a 416 with 11:1 compression piston,hotcam stage 2,port and polish,rejet and you will see a difference ;)
