Chain Tightness

Hey i have got a 400ex and i have a 36 tooth rear sprocket and a stock 15 front and i was wonderin how tight the chain is suppost to be. i mean i kinda know but just want to make sure like when u sit on the bike in nuetral should the chain be really tight or still have slack? Help.....

ok well mine has some slack in it and when i sit on it it gets pretty tight is that normal?

it should have a little bit of slack when you sit on it.......... i think your accually suppose to put weight on the seat when you adjust the chain.

i belive the slack should be about 1"/ 3/8

in the owner manual,you don't sit on the Atv,just adjust with is own weight at around 1"3/8 if my memory is good

What if my bearing carrier doesnt turn. Got any suggestions or tricks to break it loose? Thanks for any input.
