i am going to get some new handlebars and grips soon.. when you get new bars do you need a new clamp for themn or will the stock one work? i was thinking renthal, 909, or tag... anyhting i need to do at all besides put on all the controls..?

it depends on the bars some are 7/8" bars which work in the stock clamps and some are 1 1/8" which need oversize clamps.

well it depends on what bar you get. The regular ole renthals you dont need the clamp but for the fatbar you do i think. But most of the tag handlebars i think you need the clamp.

what about the renthals that have the 400ex bend? whats the diffrence in the bends in the ex one then the other bends like the dirtbike cr bend?

i have the cr low bend as well. what the difference between the 400ex bend and the cr low bend is that the 400ex bend makes the bars way higher. the cr low bend brings them down and out a bit.

I prefer either Tag bars or Protapers. But thats just me. I like the feel and everything of them. I have ridden other peoples quads with renthals and idk, i would take a set of tags or protapers over renthals.

Just like everyone else said, if you get the standered size bars (7/8's you will be able to use your stock bar clamps and just mount them up.

If you get the fat bars (1 1/8's) you need to replace your stock handlebar clamps with bigger ones that are made to fit the fatter bar. ;)

I am running Tag X5's on my blaster right now, and they are Cr High Bend, they are a nice bend, but im looking to sell the blaster and move to a 400ex, and i found TRXoutlaw51 from here thats selling his and im pritty sure im going to buy it off of him, but he has Protaper Fat bars so......

the 400ex bend and any other atv bend are gonna be quite a bit taller. the dirtbike bends are lower and wider. i feel like i have more control with the lower bars

Go with the Tag's. I just put on a new steering stem last week. I took a tumble a couple weeks ago and all that bent was the top of the stem. The Tag's are great.
