What are the best mods for a woods motor.. I saw where borich only has box mod cam and pipe..:confused:

Read the two threads at the top of this section, those bikes are both xc bikes.

Well, it just kinda depends on how far you want to go with the motor and ow reliable you want it to be. There are a lot of drop in cams that help with the power, but don't cause loss of reliability. An air filter is good investment and doesn't bother reliability unless you allow it to get dirty and then it can ruin the engine. How far are you wanting to go in the motor, and how much power gain are you wanting.

I would love more bottom but not hitting to hard for tight woods racing.... And for as far as I want to go.. As far as I need to go with parts I can actually get that are not back ordered..

Looking at your sig, I would get a jet it, they seem to do good for the 450, and an air filter, possibly a rev box and a 1 down front sprocket. This won't require internal work, and shouldn't loose you any reliability. If you want more after that I would look for a cam. This is just my opinion, I am sure someone else will chime in in a little while.

Ok thanks.. I did the 13t and it did help a lot.. I have heard some bad things about the rev box but it is just hear say.. what is the best kind to go with.. Also is the s2 hot cam the best cam for xc.
And for the air filter what is the best there..

stg2 hotcam, k&n airfilter, high comp piston is prolly what i would do if i was u

id go with a 13:1 or a 12:1 i prefer JE pistons myself, i think they are the best :macho

yep no prob but id def go with this setup:

Stage 2 Hotcam, K&N, JE 13:1 piston, Smooth out the ports dont port the head, jus smooth some stuff out, 13t front sprocket, and a pipe, i personally like the sparks big core the best :macho

I just didn't say a piston or cam to prevent having to go into the engine. The things I said were just kinda bolt ons. You will notice a big difference with the piston and cam, but jmo to go with bolt on stuff first, then if it doesn't suit you go into the motor. Also, jmo, but I wouldn't go any higher than 11:1 if you wanted good reliability and didn't want to run race gas. The race gas gets expensive for trail riding.

So with the 11:1 you can still run pump gas right,,

don't even bother with an 11:1 piston. Stock is 10.5:1. There's not much difference.

Yea, but if your actual compression gets much higher most ppl recommend race gas and with 13:1 you definatley need it.
