The hmf has more low end than the yoshi. With the quiet core, you are around 96 db. Without, it is like 98-100 or so. It is not that loud with the quiet core in. The Yoshi is actually louder, mainly because I don't think there is a quiet core for it. And finally, no you do not have to change jetting. I run a 155 around sea level, and it is hard to tell the difference with it in or out. The quiet core only restricts a little bit of power on bottom. I only noticed this slightly when climbing hills in 3rd.

I had a T4, now have the HMF full, huuuge difference in LOW end grunt, top end, Id have to say the Pro Circuit had more, but not much. For woods-trails HMF all the way, $225 slip-on most sites and Ebay, all brand new. Whats a Yoshi?, $300+ slip-on, I like Yoshis- for crotch rockets..

hey my low end with my HMF seems to be lacking and i feel much more mid-top..what are u running for ur pilot jet?? cuz i low it controls low end.. (1/4thorttle) i have a feeling i should be running a 42pilot...

Im running a 42, HMF didnt really specify a pilot jet. But every other pipe tells you to change it. I had a 42 in it with the T4, and thats was good too. Im also running a 180 main, but Im wary that shes a little lean, but the plug doesnt indicate so...

HMF all the way. I've had my pipe forever, love it. I'll never buy anything else...I want the Bill Ballance pipe, but I don't know who to sell my pipe to in order to get the Ballance pipe.
