Painting the radiator

I want to improve the looks of my radiator buy just spray painting it. But I know that polishing or painting some things can cause the motor to run a little hot. I was wondering if paint on the cooling fins on the radiator would affect it's ability to cool the quad, If it does, I'll just paint the outer part.

im sure light coats of paint will be fine. you dont want to clog the fins. also make sure you use high temp paint. they have it at any autoparts store. i havent heard of anyone doing this but freinds of mine have done it do intercoolers for there turbo cars for a more stealth look and the fins still take in air just fine. remember light coats

I agree, it should be fine as long as you keep the coats light. The rad on my R is painted.
