can you take the air box off without using the airbox eliminator kit? or without any support?

you should be able to because the ESR airbox eliminator doesnt have any support. its just the tube from the carb to the filter with no supports

i tried it but when i took off the airbox, the tube coming from the carb to the airfilter wasn't strong enough to hold it up by itself. besides, doesn't the ESR kit come w/ a special K&N filter
