sillicon(sp?) sealant

my tires won't seal around the bead. I bought new rims and that still didn't fix the problem. I'm thinkin of breakin the tires off the bead then layin a bead of sillicon around the bead of the tire, then airing them up to set em. I think the silicon would work as a lubricant to help the bead seat then after it dries it would work as a sealant to keep it from leaking around the bead. will this work? will the sillicon have an adverse effect on the rubber of my tires? just thought I'd ask before I try

usually the silicone will keep them from beading up, put tubes in them or if money is no problem go with some tireballs !

the tires are fairly new. I've only ridden on them for a few months. just don't understand why they aren't seating right

Put waterproof grease on the bead of the tires.

Break it and then put the grease on the tire bead, then reassemble.:macho

alright...isn't all grease waterproof or is there any particular grease that you recommend?

another question, wouldn't grease make the rim spin inside the tire? grease doesn't dry out (unless under extreme heat) so it would always be slick.

Any grease is fine, I do this to all of my tires and I have never had one spin yet.
