Does anyone just do away with the airbox? just connect the K&N up with no box or that other tube thats connected to the airbox?

If everythings happens on time i should have my 13t front sprocket, K&N, HMF, and jet kit here on thursday or friday. You think with this it will awake the beast in the stock 400ex?

ive been running my air filter outside the airbox right on the new mikuni carb just because the stock air boot from the air box to the carb doesnt fit anymore... id much rather have it in the box but i just cant right now until i find something to rig it up with...


and as for the mods you have planned, theyll wake it up a little bit, but that things got crazy potential that you cant even imagine.

put a high cr piston, do the head with bigger valves, port/polish that ****, big *** cam, big *** carb.... omg its insane... 5th gear wheelie kinda thing... thats what my 300ex is like now... :devil: :devil:

like im talkin about tunnel vision material :devil:

run an outerware on it to try and keep as much dirt ouyt as possible..

Id just run w/o the lid and with an outerwear. Thats what im running atm. Granted id rather have a Uni (not much on non-foam filters now). Ive also got some jetting problems now that I previously didnt have and I think its due to the K&N, but I believe its b/c its simply worn out, its looking pretty rough. :p

My dad ordered it as a surprise present, but he kept asking me about parts and then he told me he ordered it. i would have rather had a 14t but i will try the 13. I dont really need top speed we just do tree shoots, some hill climbs, and trails

rico hows that 05 banshee you have? i didnt even know they made an 05... i thought they stopped producing them or something...

how much was it?

its pretty nice. i love the snappyniss of it alot. but over all i like my 400 better. im not sure why
