Looks like mud bogs are a whole lot different up north...just gun the throttle and go....I prefer bogs where you have to work through it instead of power through it. :o

MMG... awesome pics on your site...

one thing I learned along time ago, is that pits can vary greatly from event to event... I was at an event 2 years ago, here in southern Minnesota, that was thick white / grey clay, & they made the pit too challenging... I was the only one that could make it through the pit in the open class, ( sorry, I got video, but no pics of that pit ), then they added some rock to firm up the bottom ( which I didn't care for, as I had golf ball sized rocks wedged everywhere in my brakes & driveline )... I personally like how they do the one in Emmons on the 11th, as they use the same pit, & dig it dry, a day or so before the race, then add enough mud & water, at varying depths, & intervals through out the day so that most of the 1st smallest 2 X 4 quads can barely make it through, & gradually add more mud & water as the quad sizes & tires sizes increase... they offer 8-10 classes, to encourage newer riders, so there is a class for nearly every quad... this year before the open class, they'll actually be running a big 4 x 4 tractor, with a digger / ripper through the pit several times, to deepen & thicken it up...

this pic is back when my Prairie was stock...

Maybe you can make a trip down to the next Mud Mania and show some more ole rednecks what you can do. We have a pretty competitive open class for sure with some hard pits...Most of those big bikes don't make it out under their own power. I think we had over 20 entries in the open class at the last event and only 3-4 made it out on their own.
