how do i get the head off??

ive got all the bolts out but the cylinder head cover wont come off!!..please help quick!..thanx ben

well does it pull up but just wont go further? or is it just stuck.. If its just stuck make sure u didnt forget the middle bolt, its bigger than allt he rest... 300ex or 400ex?

300ex..it wont move at all!

maybe you have to loosen up the motor mounts....that is what i had to do to get my head off on my kfx. take the front ones off and the top one loosen it and the swing arm bolt that goes through the frame motor and swing arm losten that up also and the motor with turn a lil so it will be able to move.

did u get the 2 small bolts ( 8mm heads ) on the right side of the jug ? if u do have all the bolts out sometimes the gaskets are just sticking it down. IF u are positive all bolts are out try gently hitting jug with a rubber mallet. NOT to hard you will break your fins !!!

its from the gasket just heating up and sticking to it, although make sure you have taken out the 4 bolts after you take off the head cover, just get yourself a rubber mallet and make sure it is a rubber mallet and not a hammer and just tap it intill it comes off.

Yea, the orange gasket works well.. lol.

Smack her with a rubber mallet. She'll eventually come loose.

NEVER pry it off. Aluminum is very soft.. but I'm sure you know that since you are here. ;)
