removing the shifter

i want to adjust the angle of my shifter but i cant get it off. is it just really hard to pull off or is there a trick to it?

Undo the bolt and remove, use both hands on each end of the shifter and wiggle it back and forth while pulling toward you.

yeah, you have to pull the bolt all the way out, not just loosen it. It took me a while and some tore up knuckles to figure it out.

Sometimes mines hard to take off to. Even with the bolt out all the way so I lubed it up a little.
