will 450r shocks with a 300ex

thay are 17 inchs long 300s are 13 i think. they will work with a relocator bracket you would have a lot better suspension.

I know if i took the time i could get it to work, i think if i could get a set for cheap off ebay and buy the relocater kit for the 400 a arm conversion it might work. some has to step up to try it sooner or later

and for you alloy, dont tell me to do searches, i have been here since the days of leo, andthisis one of the first times it was asked for a 300ex, usely it is asked for the 400, and i do look at the boards quite a bit. i dont need a newbie telling me how to use this site, the main thing i wanted to know was the length of the shock so i thank you very much for that ethen

you could get them to fit and get 400ex arms but nothing would work correctly.apparently 400 arms on a 300ex make it handle horrible and you would need to get the shocks re-valved and re-sprung to work with the 400ex a-arms,and the geometry of the 400ex a-arms are not correct for the 300ex.

you sound like you are trying to talk about something you dont know anything about
flame me all you want to like in every other thread but the $70 i spent for used 400ex a-arms and $60 i paid for 400ex front shocks was the best mod i ever did to my old 300ex
i never revalved or re-sprung the shocks and the made the 300 handle 100 times better than stock

so bigbadbrad yea they will work but i would reccomend using 400ex a-arms instead of stock 300 a-arms

o yea dont forget you will still need to make a relocation bracket for the upper shock mounts.

im just relaying info from other thrreads ive read on this subject. the 400ex a-arms will fit and, i guess since u say so will work fine on a 300ex. the geometry being wrong and the need for re-valving and re-springing to make 450r shocks work on a 400ex,which demensions for shocks are alot closer thena 300ex,has been posted by jeff stoess.so you can PM him and he would tell you the same thing.search for 300 to 400ex a-arm conversions and 450 shocks on a 400ex. thats where everything ive said has come from
