I just got done ripping on the ex after having the cases apart to repair one hell of a tranny melt down.
Felt good to say the least.
I thought it was all over when I first spilt the case but after $ 250 in gears, bearings ,seals and a lot of time staring at the book it shifts like new.
I did not realize how much I missed having a wheeler that was rideable until today.
I got lucky considering that second gear busted a tooth off that it didn't crack the case. The tooth was just laying down by the oil screen.
I went ahead a changed out the therd gear set also as well as the counter shaft and main shaft bearings.
Not just to bad after all the hell I have but this thing though.
