overheating issue **please help**

i have a 05 450r stock , me & some friends with a dvx400 , z400 , yfz450 and a 400ex , went riding today and after about 3 hours of hard riding my temp light cut on , we stopped for a minute and then rode again and about ten minutes later it came on again , nobody else had any problems , it has plenty of coolant and the fan was working , please help!!:confused:

you may need to adjust ur jetting, you could be running lean and causing access heat

i heard putting ice qubes in the gass tank helps out a lot

^yeah, thats not really to cool, def. check the jetting make sure the fluid is circulating thru the engine also.

thanks for the info , some of my friends told me to use some engine ice or evans coolant , what do you guys know about that stuff?

You didn't say if it was spraying coolant into overflow bottle or just the light coming on. Need a little more info. If it's not overheating but light coming on, I'd look at the sensor above thermostat being bad. If it's actually overheating, check to see if running too lean. That will heat things up quick.
I run engine-ice. It's premixed 50/50 in bottle already. Just drain old and add new. Also check overflow bottle and make sure it's at least up to the low mark.
