+2 tie rods

I have a set of Houser a arms for a 400Ex that are +2 but the tie rods that came with them seem kinda short compared to the ones on my R.Is the steering stem wider on the EX than the R.Anybody know the length of +2 rods for the EX?Im going to sell the arms but dont want to screw anyone over on the rods.
