Different Fender Styles

Im probably going to cut my fenders sometime soon. I was wondering if someone could post different styles of fenders on the 400ex. My dad was saying we should cut them so it basically has just like a nose. If someone has cut them like this; does it look good? Im not to worried about more mud getting on me because the fender is cut.

Thxx for any pics/ info. I know someone is going to say i should have searched, but i tried a few different searches to find a thread like this and i couldnt.:(

I was also wondering if its hard to get both sides identical? or is there a trick of getting each side the same?

Mark it with some sort of eraseable marker first, like a dry erase board marker. Make sure it looks even. Do the cutting with a fine toothed blade, as fine as you can find cause you don't want it all hackedy and jagged. Remember, wider is better cause if there's extra you can always trim but if theres not enough you'll have to cut it off the other side to make it even and you might not want it that small. When you get done you'll want to sand it down, to make the edges look like they came that way :D
