had a little drag race 2day...

well chaz148 got his new t-4 pipe slip on pipe today... so we put it on and rejetted it... took it out for a test ride and desided to line it up to mine... well right b4 we raced here came another 400ex with a yoshi slip on so jimmy raced 2 on his 400...

these were the quads...
my 406 with 18 inch rear tires and a 16t front sproket...
jimmys 400ex with yoshi pipe 20 rear tires(turf tamers) and a 15t front sproket
chaz 400ex with a pc t-4 pipe 20 rear tires(fast trackers) and a 15t front sproket...


we raced 7 times with another kid droppin his arm for us to take off and out of 7 runs they all finished exactly the same

i was 4 bikes ahead of them, chaz and jimmy were dead even but out of the hole chaz t-4 was 1 bike ahead of jimmys yoshi...

i then took both bikes for a ride... i noticed that chaz had way more low end then jimmy and would pull a wheelie up to 3rd gear... jimmys bottom end seemed to be like a stock 400ex but the top end power was alot more... the t-4 is louder then the yoshi and the yoshi sounds better has a nice tone to it...

if i had to buy one of the pipes it would have been the t-4... it seemed way better then my old t-4 and i think pc finaly fixed the problems with them...

also the other quad didn't have anything but a slip on no other mod like k&n filters... just slip ons and re jetted...

i can't wait to race them with 20s on... i think i will be about 8 bikes ahead....

o well i said enouf... figured some guyz would like to read this...

what did you jets did you put in that 400ex with the T-4 slip on? i need to rejet mine and i have the same thing.

chaz just told me he put in a 40 pilot and 1 up on the main from the stock size...

I would have to say i think the Yoshi is better!! my friend has a T-4 on his bike, k&N and jetted with stock tires and sprockets. When i first got my bike I had the Yosh on it with stock tires and 15t sprocket,,I beat him every time!! I rode his bike and like Honda400zx said, the T-4 takes away bottom end and doesnt have near as much low as the yosh pulls!!!(well I dont know if it actually takes away bottom end but it definately doesnt have as much as the Yosh!!)
My vote is for Yoshi all the way!!

see chad thats exactly what i thought with my old t-4 pipe but for some reason this new t-4 must be differn't... it looks nothing like my old one... where it connects to the stock header, where the pipe comes out, how the lables put on... my old one had ****ty low end but this new t-4 is awesome on the low end... its like my quad with 20s and a 16t.... chaz is coming up again right now so i will get more seat time on it... see what i can figure out... i will try a few things see if the results are the same...

When did the new ones come out??? He has had his for about a year I guess!! I havent seen the new ones then!!! Yoshi is coming out with new pipes too though!!!

Sparkles had a T-4 and went to a Yoshi , I like the t-4 i think it sounds better than his bike pulled ALOT harder with the t-4. His yoshi is indeed a top end pipe. We raced and i beat him out of the hole and he caught up to me and passed me pretty quickly.

I don't see it that way,,I see it as 90% bike and the other half is rider..:eek: :D do the math on that one and see what ya come up with..:devil
