will a 465 piston kit work with a 4mm stroked crank on a 400ex? i cant remember

Wouldn't see why it wouldn't. Bore and Stroke are seperate from each other. You'll jsut end up with a cc closer to 500 because of the extra stroke and a higher compression.

Of course your still gonna have the same head gasket, and head bolt issues you'd have with the big bore.

You'll want to check to make sure your piston is stopping in the correct location at top dead center. Because of the stroke you may need a shorter rod. (but since you already have the stroker running you probably already have the right rod length)

i think you would be better off with a piston designed for a stroker crank.i think the stroker crank pistons have a stronger skirts

True,
Makes a lot of sense since you're getting more side pressure at mid stroke (when the piston is moving the fastest as well)

I'm not a pit pro by far. I just know the basics.. lol. I'm glad you guys cover my butt.. ;)

woops my bad guys i meant a 440 kit..which would make it around a 465..im pretty sure it would work

the 440 stroked to plus 4 will be a 465.
