i want my dad to build me and my friend a jump for our quads for his farm house because theres no jumps. just a 1.5 foot dirt one we made.

my dad said a piece of ply-wood would work good. 8feet long and 4 feet wide. as for the height, i was thinking like somewhere around 4 feet tall.

now my i have built wooden ramps before for my old bike, and one of the problems i faced was that it was too steep too fast and you got no ware on it. if the ramp is 8 feet long and 4 feet tall, will i have this problem?

and any suggestions are welcom, and i most likely wont be making this out of metal.

when i say old bike i ment my 250ex. and what i meen is that the ramp is too steep and you almost bounce off the middle of it when you go to hit it because its too steep and the ramp isnt long enough.

2.5 feet 3 feet max

think of it this way

If you had it 8 foot long and 4 foot off the ground, thats a 45* angle. It would work, but it would feel like you were slamming into a wall, and you wouldnt be able to hit it very hard.

oh ! your ramp...right. yeah if you want it to be about 4 foot tall i would go with a 10 or 11 foot long jump.
