limewire problem

i have limewire on my computer and every time i try to use it it frezzes my comp and makes it slow....a couple of my freinds have it but they dotn have this problem...does any1 else have this problem...and does any1 kno how to fix it

Is it a pretty old system? Limewire runs off of a java virtual run time that can slow down older and slower machines.

If not, your computer is probably sick. Download a few anti-spyware scanners, update the definitions and do a "deep system scan". Make sure your anti-virus and virus scanner is up to date also, and run a virus scan. If none of this helps, get a program called CCleaner and use it to clean up your crap, then go into add/remove programs and get rid of junk you don't use. Then after all of that, run a disk defrag.
