Will a 250r axle work in a 450r?

If a 400ex axle will fit then a 250r axle should too right?I believe the only difference in a 400ex axle and 250r axle is the hub splines.
The reason I am asking is I have a LSR axle from a 250r that I want to use in my 450r if it will work.

if you have it there anyway just try it and see how it fits, it will only take like an hour.

LOL,yeah I will probably end up doing that.I am just not working on it right at the moment so I figured I'd ask.

they are 1/8 of an inch different the 400ex and 250 are being that much longer so a 1/8 inch spacer will make it fit
