Unusual Play in Steering?

Well a few weeks ago my steering was tight. A few rides later, I notice I can turn the bars maybe 1/2'' to 3/4'' before the wheels turn. I checked the tie rod ends and one of them was loose on the stem, so I tightened it up as far as it would tighten and checked the other ones. Checked the bars, still have some play in it. Not as much, under 1/2'', but everything is tight I think.

Anyone have any ideas?

is your steering stem bearing cracked.. i had a similar problem and thats what was wrong with it. It is located on the botom of the frame where the steering stem goes in.
