I have a ross 416 fmf full exhaust and choke removed running a 42 pilot, k&n filter with no lid. 170 DJ mainjet, It is too rich I know that and I am going to downsize but when I do a slow wheelie, (like creep it for a long distance in first or second gear) it bogs way out and then works fine once the front end comes back down. Is that just the main jet being too big??

I would say the main is to big, but have you made sure all the overflow tubes are able to drain on the quad?

may have to check that but it doesnt bog when flat it just has a little to much smoke. taking the lid off is what made it run good, when I first finished it wouldn't run for crap, I had to take my lid offf.

Check the plug and see if the jetting is right.

yep, just a little rich, down a size or 2, thats happened to me. it crackles a little and tries to go down then starts to go again.

your jetting is way too rich. i don't know what your elevation is but i am in east texas guessing the elevation is 400 feet and am running a 170 in my 440 with airbox lid off and k&n and a full exaust. i would also check the overflow lines from the carb like the other guy said.
