I am replacing the bearings and bushings in the bottom heim of my Works Shocks and I am wondering how to get the old ones out. Any help is appreciated.

Use a socket that is just smaller than the hole that the bearing is pressed into. Put an extension on the socket and tap it out with a hammer.

Does it matter which side I tap it out on, and can I put them in the same way, or do they need to be pressed in by a machine?

Works has used many different bearings and bushinds over the years, do you know which ones yours has? Can you take a pic?

They are 250R Pro Series shocks

Ya, but they have changed bearing styles through out the years. It should press out of either side. It always better to use a press to install but if you do it carefully, you can do it with the same hammer and socket. Just make sure you put the socket against the outter race and on the inner.

Thanks for all your help Jeff, and for the record I was going to do the 450r shocks on my 400ex, but I just couldn't ignore your advice, so I got these Works instead.
