shifters?

I need like a +1" or +1 1/2" shifter for a 300ex. I wear a size 14 boot and its hard to move my foot when i need to downshift. Will a 400ex shifter work (or any kind of bike) and is it any longer?

I don't know of any thats longer but when I used to race 300ex's, I would cut the lever near the center and weld in a small extension. Works perfectly.
