Well for graduating out of middle school and making all A's B's and some C's my dad bought me a Smart Parts Impulse. For ya'll who are not familiar with paintball it is a high-end gun. He bought it, proto mask, complete tool kit, bunch of spare parts, and a Jersey, from a good friend of ours who cut him one hell of a deal (around 550$). Some people right now are probably calling me spoiled but I had to give him my Spyder Electra dx that was bought with my money I earned working one summer. Anyways I haven't got to try it out yet but will this Sunday, heres some pics.

When I get my next paycheck I'll be buying a z-board, blade trigger and a locking feedneck. The mods currently are

SP Tapeworm
SP delrin bolt
SP bolt pin
Low-rise feedneck
Brass hammer

z-boards help out a lot. if u play alot of speedball might want to look into gettin a bigger nitro tank. i loved my crossfire 68/45 fiber wrapped.

My favorite Paintball gun to date is still Old Trusty, lol.

VM-68 baby. ;) Shoots straight and NEVER breaks paint. (Top 2nd from left.)

I also own the original model AutoCocker.. lol. Talk about a high maintenance gun.. lol.

Haven't played in a couple years.. lol. Spend too much money on my riding habits.. lol. That and I'll be 30 in July, lol.

I'm curious. I bought a paintball gun for $100 seven years ago. It's a semi-auto, and rarely breaks the balls.

What advantage would you have with a gun like yours? You might be able to fire it twice as fast, but what's the real advantage in 8 balls per second over 4 per second?

pretty sure he will be shootin more than 8 bps. the faster u can shoot the better of a chance u have at shootin out a different player. Speed is not all that counts u also need accuracy.

not insulting your intelligence in the subject or anything...but i could pull 8bps on an autococker...a really high quality gun like my friend brendens (he has a DM4 and a 05' shocker) without using a good gun in months i pulled 19 BPS on the dm4 on nitro with ramping...he can pull just over 20 with ramping and like 18-19 without ramping haha thatimpulse with a really fast trigger finger could prolly pull 15 bps maybe...its fast when your in the woods..i got to play against my other friend with my friends DM4 and i just got ontop of a hill and started WASTING people...by the time the first ball hits you you cant move before you have 40-50 other balls hitting you...and it hurts BAD from that gun...

paintball IMO is fun, but too expensive. at like $100 a weekend, thats a hell of a lot of quad stuff in just one year alone....plus at the end of the year you have something left instead of just paint thats used and no good on the speedball's ground:D

Yes I am very thankfull over it. Yea, I got a really kick *** family on my dads side. But I didnt get it totally for free, as stated above I had to give Him my spyder electra DX that was paid by me and me only. Also paintball is kinda like quads, just cause you have a badass gun or quad dosent mean your good. I can kick some ***** with the spyder when its working.

ramping is a feature that lets u shoot faster than u are pulling the trigger...ex. if u can do 14bps w/o ramping and u do 14 bps w/ramping you will end up shooting about 20bps...trhats why u shot it so fast...imps can shoot bout 18 on average...by the way does that imp have vision if not you better buy one of youll be chopping like no other!

No it dosent, I dont like vison, IMO its just a pain in the rear end. I like to keep my guns simple and plain. No this gun dosent chop I have played with it before. Just so you have a good paint to bore match its fine.

except ramping doesn't make that much of a difference, it doesnn't make it go from 14 to 20, maybe 16 to 20 on a good day...anyway i know the kid can go atleast 19 without ramping...i saw it, then later that day felt it...OUCH
