I want to finish my skidplates up by getting a dg baja a-arm and full body skids... but i was wondering.. i am starting to do my own oil chages and i now how to do them... but how do i do them with a full body chassis skidplate?? and dont tell me i have to take it off! LOL I heard there was a drain plug hole or w/e so i can get to it? could i get to the crankcase drain plug and the oil tank drain plug??? could it drain out without going onto the skid?

I have the ACracing skidplate and before that a Pro-armor skidplate and both have holes so you could drain the oil(motor and tank) and not have to remove the skid plate. I'm not sure about the ones you mentioned.

anyone with dg baja skids that could point me in the right directions? even with the oil drain plug hole for the oil tank what about the crankcase drain plug...does it even need a hole since it is on the side of the crankcase?

the baja skids for the 400ex only have a hole for the oil tank. id suggest drilling a hole for the motor if your goin with it.

yeah, just drill your own hole. That sure beats the hec out of taking the skid plate off everytime, it will also let dirt and mud fall thru instead of packing up.

i would personally stay away from the dg skid plates.. well that is unless you LIKE getting stuck.

i dont know about anybody else but whenever i drain the crankcase the oil hits the frame and runs over to the stock plastic skid plate. so it makes a mess no mater what.

if i dont drill my hole in the skid i am gunna get a diffrent brand for the full body skid, but, will it fit with my fat series swingarm skid? also, the baja's and many skids are .190 thick, the ac racing is either .125 and/or .160 thick i ride in really rocky woods would this be thick enough-but at lest it is not as heavy as the .190

prm and um make some heavy stuff from what I have seen. Do you hit your frame a lot now, if not I think an ac would be fine.
