I've been tearing down my 300ex that seized up on me a couple months ago. I was looking for some advice as to what bore to have my jug bored out to since it's most likely going to be marred from the piston getting seized. Also, will the stock rod be alright with the new piston?

just get it bored to what it needs to make it right again, and get the piston for it. i recommend a wiesco 11:1 compression piston, and your stock rod should be fine if its in good condition.

I have a 2002 300ex motor that has a fresh top end, lots of mods 650 shipped to your door.

Good evening. I cannot help notice that you are parting out a 300EX. I recently rolled mine over due to an unfortunate incident to say the least, lol. I am looking for the headlight housing and the handle bar cover. Do you have them, are they in good shape and how much do you want for them? I believe from looking in the diagram that the 2002-2005 are the same parts for what I'm looking for.

Thanks.

why did your 300 seize?make sure there is no play in your rod while its apart, that could be your culprit:)

when i bought the quad, it had jumped time. not having the time to fix it, i had a shop replace the timing chain and fix the problem. when i got it back it was running fine, although sputtering a little on the top end of the rev (i thought this was due to the one-tooth-down sprocket i put on it). after riding for a few days it locked up while i was puttering along in 5th gear. evidently the quad had a slow oil leak b/c it was low (not out of) on oil.
