Who says 400ex's are dinosaurs?

This is my 15 year old brother on his newly built ex. He has only been racing for about 6 months. This is a 90 foot single to tabletop. He is one of the only quads doing the jump. His quad was completely stock untill a few weeks ago. We have recently added, Triple rate remote rezzie elka fronts, viper +2 a-arms, Elka ZPS rear shock, Lonestar axcaliber axle, Silver Maier plastics, carbon race hood, and of course wheels and tires all around. I have more pics if you guys are interested, I will just have to get them from my camera.

just because the 400ex is a dinosaur doesnt mean it cant jump. I have hit jumps just as big and i have only had my 400ex for a little bit and im only 15......And it was my first timeon the track the 2nd lap of 1st moto

Nice pic! Where is that track at? Is it in San Diego? I'm from San Diego and the background looked a lot like the area. Is that in the Santee/ElCajon area? Where exactly is the track (if that is where its at)? Looks like a nice track.

That is El Cajon MX. It is right next to the Cajon Speedway. Open to quads monday nights and when there are races there. Good track but like a supercross track for motorcycles so it is real technical.

Sorry if this seems like a bragging thread, I am just real proud of my little brother.

I thought I recognized the hill and the mounatains in the background and thought it was near the Gilespie field area. Cajon speedway is right near by so I was close. I'll have to check it out next time I'm there. I didn't know there was a motocross track there. Thanks!

Rumor has....Yes this is still a rumor....I was at the honda shop today getting some parts,i was talking to the parts guy they sponcers me anyways along story short he said 04 was the end of the 400ex there coming out with a 450x or ex it will be a tuned down version of the 450R but have electric start....So i guess we will see

You mean 05 is the end? If anything I would think they would cut out the 300 and leave the 400 like it is or maybe tune it back a little.jmo

What class is the dude in the picture running?

He runs the 4 stroke C class. There are over 30 riders in this class. They usually have two seperate moto's to handle all of them. He does pretty well for a under powered bike. He is proof that the skill of the rider means a lot.

There will be a 06 400ex for sure,it will not be yellow, it will be black,or the red just like the 05 450R. Same goes for the 300Ex
