I heard that YFZs will have lots of mods next year

I heard that Yamaha is coming out with A modded YFZ. There will be a MX YFZ and a XC YFZ. I heard this from a post in 450r info. It said that it will be wider, ITP holeshots on it and lots of other mods. Has anyone heard about this?????

Naaa, i went to the yamaha dealer and they said the 06 models come out around august- october,somewhere around there.It was stumpys in neptune nj

Damn you Pappy, I was just about to pick up an '05 LE for $6395 on Friday but the dealer also mentioned that he thinks something big is happening with the new ones...Well, guess I'm waiting even longer for a new quad:o :( .

i feel your pain, but i look at it as a huge positive. yamaha and suzuki are taking notes and making things happen. i hope the boys at honda start doing the same thing...and fast.

anyone wanna bet the new suki is gonna be badazz except for the same old pos frame:o

My Suzuki frame has held up just fine...of course it's from 1984 and they made everything bulletproof back then;) .

i heard for the suzuki that there taking the motor from a dirtbike and beefing it up instead of downgrading it.

I need a new quad desperately bad and i'm planin on gettin a yfz this weekend. Is this new yfz gonna be that different that it'll be worth the wait? I'm a college kid and am poor so if i get it thats it! so any info would be desperately needed. Support your poor national racer!

When they say their beefing up the dirtbike motor they mean their making it stronger as in heavier-duty clutches and gears, lower compression ratio etc.....to make it more reliable and you best beleive it's gonna be detuned from the RM-Z engine.

Pappy, I'd also like to know if it's really going to be worth the wait for the new YFZ. I know that you can't let us know anything that they're doing, but is it going to bump up the price? Also, when are the '06's coming out...because if it's over 2 weeks I think I'm just going to go with an '05. Summer is just beginning and I can't stand not riding.

Usually it is a week or two after the stuff is released for the dealers to start getting them in stock. Send me a message on msn and I'll give ya a good place to get a YFZ from.

in the new dirtwheels they talk about how the Z450 will come nearly race ready in stock form...like with wider a arms and a wider axle and other stuff

THERE WILL BE MANY CHANGES TO THE 2006 YFZ SOME VERY MINOR SOME UNEXPECTED BUT TO THOSE WHO WAIT YOU WILL BE VERY PLEASED. ALSO WITH SOME NEW MODELS TO OUR LINE UP .I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING TO SEE THEM IN PERSON. THANKS LARRY
