I would change the oil after the first ten hours. Use regular GN4 for the break in. Replace it with the same after that, then you could switch to Mobil! after that.

Take off the parking break on the way home, or as soon as you get there.

Use the stock plug, or bump up to a 9 if you ride wide open a lot.

Ride it for 15-20 minutes, avoiding full throttle, but varying rpms, let it cool for an hour. Do that about 4-5 times. Avoid extended full throttle for the first tank of gas. Then beat the snot out of it.

Run a K&N or a Uni.

20w-50

Sometimes. I have an '01 and still have the PB installed and the rear pads are still fine. But I will still get a block off.

Should i use a different high performance spark plug?

Not neccessary

How much should i go easy on it to break it in.

Don't go WOT until it is fully broke in.

Should i rejet for a k&n,,, should i get a K&N or other?

Rejet when you get a filter. K&N for regular conditions...UNI for dusty conditions.

All the answers I posted I picked up on this site.

Good luck and enjoy the 400,
