reguardless of what you buddy tells you, most good running 416-440ex's are in the mid 30's when it comes to HP

My 416ex with pipe, porting, valves, piston, and carb ran up around 40 hp. I've seen some of the 505ex stroker motors run around 50!:eek2: With the new turbo and nitrous kits available you could really be pumping some serious hp but your reliability is down the toilet.

The one I was talkin about was a 505. It was in the 50's but I do not remember the exact number. And that seems pretty bad when a stock Cannondale Moto was pushin out 39hp and my Dale is pushin out 40 right now.

That kinda suprises me that there only in the mid 30s. I figured atleast low 40s.

This is off of GT Thunders old sight:
This Graph is from a dyno run performed for FDO racing. Telephone # 614-967-1078. It is a 473cc 400ex. It is the highest horsepower 400ex that we have tested to date!

I didn't catch it, but it must be a new hybrid. Kinda like a kfx426ex stroker big bore type thing. (I am really bored)

my uncles friend's little cousins girlfriends sisters brother's buddy said a 400ex couldn't keep up with any of the new 450's and that the most HP you could get out of a 400ex was 18 so there's no way it was in the 50's.

That's just plain absurd. A 416 is a far cry from being fully worked. Call me silly, but it looked like the original question was "most hp".

You can't claim that a professionally-built, fully worked over, ported and pissed-off 500cc stroker is sitting in the mid 30's.

Dude thats weird...I was browsing in school today through a 2004 Fall/Winter Edition of RockyMountains catalog and I found a product (can't remember what it was for) And it said Yamaha and the first one was TRX450R...misprint but that was weird it happened in this thread.

My 416 is just a little upset, and I'd bet it's in the low-to-mid 30's.:D

my friends turbo 416ex is pushing an estimated 70 horsepower at 8 psi. we'll be officially dyno testing it later this year.

I noticed that too. I think all you people might be talking about different things. Are we talking about at the rw, or at the crank?
