what is the best cam if you like to drag race but also like to ride around

Rossier eng will custom grind cams for u if needed, i run the hot cams stage 2 with a 13-1 je and port work for Xc, hope this helps, the drag cam would be a more mid to top and u would want a mid to low for trail in my opinion on a stock motor

CRF= low to mid

Hot Cams S2= mid to high

HRC= high

There are tons of other cams out there but these seem to be the most popular. Depending on what you mean by "ride around" and drag racing, or whether you plan on doing portwork and a piston---it really matters on what direction you are going.

depending on the level of performance you are wanting, i would go with the hotcams stage 2 for an improvement over stock at all rpms, or the HRC which will have more topend with a loss on the bottom. if you are really wanting a screamer, i would look into the johnson cam, but it has to be degreed in with a adjustable cam sprocket.

plus- you have to press the cam sprocket flange onto the camshaft yourself.

Plus you need new springs. I can tell ya though it's a screamer. Alot of work indeed. For the money I'd do the hrc if you plan to add a piston, I'd recommend the hotcams stage 2 if you plan on retaining your stock piston......
