That PWK39 is too big for a 265. Your bike will run too rich.
You'll learn to hate it real soon.

I have the same set up and switched to a 38PWK Air stryker and it runs like a champ. 52/175 jets. Needle clip: 2nd from top.

Save that 39PWK for when you switch to a 300, 310 or 330.

a 39 is not to big i could name a handful of pros who ran carbs larger then 39 for gnc.

I personally ran a 39mm on a 250,252, 254, 257 ETC and never had a problem.

WTF does your carb size have to do with running rich? Almost any size carb can be jetted to run properly, just because the carb is large doesn't mean his jetting is automatically off.

Now throttle response in another issue...

I know with the proper jetting it can be right when I put it on with the same jets as a 38 A\S it was lean so just because it is bigger obviously doesnt mean it is going to be rich. If the 38 has a 50 pilot and a 175 main CEL needle middle what would be close to equal for the 39pwk?

I would suggest you use a similar jetting as the 38 A/S but richer if you thought it was lean. I've done several with the 38A/S or the 39 and I use the same jets in both.

Beerock and Wilkins are right, I got a buddy w/ a 39 PWK on a stock motor, we jetted it and its a good carb and helped alot over the stocker POS. Things might not be "optimal" but it works good none the less
